This Privacy Policy explains how National Filing Corporation ("NFC," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit our Website or use our Services. By using the Website or Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

  • Business entity information you provide or that is publicly filed with a state agency, such as entity name, document number, FEI/EIN, principal and mailing addresses, registered agent, and officer, director, manager or member names and addresses.
  • Contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number and mailing address.
  • Payment information, such as card details and billing address. Card details are processed by our third-party payment processors and are not stored on our servers in full.
  • Signature and authorization records, such as your electronic signature, the terms you accepted, and the date, time and IP address of your order.
  • Identity verification records, where a state requires us to verify your identity before filing.
  • Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, referring site, and how you scroll and click on our pages (session recording), collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Notice).
  • Communications you send us by email, phone, SMS or web form.

Some of the business information we use comes from public records maintained by state agencies.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • prepare, submit and confirm the filings you order;
  • process payments, refunds and disputes;
  • send order confirmations, filing receipts, certificates and service updates;
  • send deadline reminders and notices about filings your entity may need;
  • respond to your questions and provide customer support;
  • verify identity where required, prevent fraud and protect the security of our Website and Services; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

We may also use this information as follows:

  • For us or our affiliated companies to send you promotional and marketing messages, and other information, and
  • To invite you to take part in events and relevant opportunities.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • State agencies. We submit the information required for your filing to the applicable Secretary of State or Division of Corporations. Filed information generally becomes part of the public record.
  • Affiliated companies. We may share information with our parent, subsidiaries and affiliates, which may use it as described in this policy, including to offer you related services.
  • Service providers. We share information with vendors who help us operate, such as payment processors, email and SMS providers, hosting and data storage providers, and fraud-prevention services. They may use it only to provide services to us.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, a subpoena or court order, to respond to a payment dispute or chargeback, or to protect our rights, customers or others.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Your Choices

  • Marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.
  • Text messages. We do not currently send text messages. If we offer them in the future, you will be able to opt out at any time by replying STOP.
  • Cookies. You can control cookies through your browser (see our Cookie Notice).

Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages about an order you placed.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. To make a request, contact us at info@nationalfilingcorporation.com. We will verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We cannot delete information that has already been filed in a public state record, or records we must keep for legal, tax, payment or dispute purposes.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain filing and payment records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our Website and Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
